How to Fix Decoy Bodies

Breaking your decoy bodies may be one of the least common ways your decoys are damaged but in the case that they are damaged here is how you can get them looking new again. Here are the steps on how to fix decoy bodies.

Supplies Needed:

  • Plastic glue such as Gorilla Glue
  • Toothpicks
  • Electrical tape
  • Paper Towel
  • Disposable/plastic gloves (optional)

Step 1: Clean and dry the broken decoy area.

Step 2: Place a quarter sized amount of plastic glue to the paper towel to use as your glue supply.

Step 3: Dip the end of a toothpick in the plastic glue and apply the plastic glue to the edges of the broken decoy.

Step 4: Match up the broken decoy area and hold it in the correct place with your hand.

Step 5: Use the electrical tape to wrap around the broken decoy area to secure it into the correct place.

Step 6: Set the decoy down gently on a flat surface and allow to dry for 2-4 hours.

Step 7: Gently remove the electrical tape to reveal the finished product.
